Sinbad the Sailor Productions develops and produces documentaries, fiction films, non-fiction reality programming, and music videos, with a focus on distinctive storytelling and cinematic craft.
We believe powerful stories transcend borders, spark conversations, and leave a lasting impression. Guided by curiosity and a commitment to authenticity, we look for projects that explore the richness of human experience through compelling narrative and meaningful visual storytelling.

Founder & Partner
Kashyap is a documentary filmmaker and editor working in a cinema verite tradition of patient framing, deep access, and no imposed narration. He holds a Master’s in Filmmaking with a specialization in Editing from Annapurna College of Film and Media, where he graduated top of his batch.
He has directed Kadalin Kural and Harmony and Harmonics, and cut documentary and factual programming for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Channel News Asia. On Beneath the Sky of August he directs and edits.
Founder & Partner
Akash produces films about the things people refuse to forget. Fieldwork across more than a hundred crisis sites, as a Research Fellow at the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences, taught him how to earn access to a difficult story and how to hold it.
He leads the company’s financing and co-production, and builds the partnerships that carry a film from development to audience.
